Jekyll Island has bragging rights as Georgia's largest public golf resort. With three 18 hole golf courses — Pine Lakes, Indian Mound and Oleander — Jekyll Island has something for golfers of all ability levels to enjoy. In addition to its spectacular 18 hole courses, Jekyll Island also boasts Great Dunes, the historic nine hole course. Lower your handicap and make your game more enjoyable by letting Jekyll Island's best golf professionals show you ways of improving your putting, chipping, pitching and bunker play.
Activity Level
Outdoor: No Sweat
Golfers of all ability levels welcomed. Standing and swinging clubs during morning instruction, and playing 18 holes during three afternoons. Carts provided for afternoon play. At the hotel, there are steps leading from the Bellstand to the veranda at the entrance (there is a handicap lift available). There are also 4 steps leading to the front desk. There is a gift shop at the hotel that has steps as well, which include 3 steps up and 3 steps down.

Love to learn and explore in a small-group setting? These adventures offer small, personal experiences with groups of 13 to 24 participants.

He interned at Jekyll Island Golf Club during his senior year of college, and graduated with a degree in sports and recreation management. After graduation, he worked at Fredericksburg Country Club before returning to Jekyll Island in the spring of 2011. He is a PGA Head Golf Professional.

Retired from a career in education, Linda Arthur served as a professor, assistant superintendent and interim superintendent, and received numerous community service awards. She enjoys sharing the history of Jekyll Island, playing bridge, mahjongg and golfing.

Georgia Graves has developed and coordinates teacher training workshops on Georgia's sea turtles, shorebirds, marine mammals and coastal ecology for the Sapelo Island National Estuarine Research Reserve, one of 26 such reserves in North America. Georgia leads nature and history programs and works with Georgia's sea turtle conservation project.
